Don Tyson

Don Tyson started a career devoted to the study of amino acids in 1961. After getting a degree in medical lab technology Don went to work in the labs at the American Red Cross where Don was introduced to Ion Exchange Chromatography.  At that time, Ion Exchange Chromatography was an exciting new advance in accurate measurement of amino acid levels in blood plasma and urine samples and Don Tyson and the doctors with whom he was working, soon realized that the patterns of the plasma and urine amino acid profiles he was now able to accurately measure corresponded quite closely with the symptoms and pathologies presented by the patients from whom the samples had been drawn.  Don soon realized that since the body was primarily made of protein & protein was made of amino acids, then amino acid technology was a key to good health & the foundation of nutrition.

In 1963 Don went to work in the laboratories at The National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD - Div. of Research Services where he continued his work with ion-exchange chromatography for blood plasma & urine amino acid analysis.  Then Don spent 15 years at Remedco Medical Labs. studying & interpreting plasma & urine amino acid assays utilizing ion-exchange chromatography & researching mineral levels in human hair pertaining to health & disease.

In 1979, Don founded Tyson & Associates selling amino acid centered nutritional supplements to doctors, pharmacies, hospitals, nationally and internationally. & supplying amino acids to research institutions.

In 1985, Don founded Aatron Laboratories, a lab to provide doctors with amino acid testing & interpretation.

In 2000, after having sold Tyson & Associates & Aatron Laboratories, Don Tyson founded his new company Montiff Inc. Montiff is introducing revolutionary advances in nutraceuticals. Montiff products are listed in the PDR, (prescription volume), and they have been enthusiastically received by all the doctors and patients who have been introduced to these outstanding compounds. Don Tyson has been involved in the study of the clinical use of amino acids for over 40 years, and is a leading expert in the field of amino acid therapy and use of nutraceuticals in the medical/health profession. Over the last 24 years, hundreds of thousands of people have used Don TysonÕs products.

MILESTONES SET BY DON TYSON
In 1961 Don Tyson obtained his degree from Washington School of Medical Technology in Medical Tech Š Member of the American Medical Tech assoc. (A.M.T.).

As an expert and innovator in nutritional biochemistry Don Tyson initiated the use of oral amino acid therapy for medical use. Don has consulted with over 2000 doctors, and given over 300 lectures to health practitioners. This includes: U. of California-Irvine School of Medicine; Miami School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology; UCLA School of Medicine; L.A. Chiropractic College; Canadian Department of Drug Rehabilitation, Edmonton, Canada; National College of Naturopathic Medicine - Portland, Oregon; American Psychiatric Hypnosis Association of Southern California; Chiropractic College, Dallas, Texas; Contreras Hospital, Tijuana, Mexico; Cancer Society for Alternative Choices, Los Angeles and Pasadena, California; Pacific Club, Irvine, California; and La Costa Resort, La Costa, California.

He introduced the first full-spectrum, oral amino acid formulations for the management of stress, for blood sugar management, neurotransmitter deficit & brain function, and for muscle development & athletic performance. Also, the first introduce single amino acids.  Don was the first to introduce enteric preparations of the active forms of B-1, B-2, B-6, and A.T.P.  Introduced Carnitine to the US market for the purpose of lowering of triglycerides and nutritional support inheart pathologies. In 1985, Don Tyson introduced amino acid analysis of the blood and urine to the medical and health professional.

In 1985, he published a complete amino acid interpretation guide for physician use. He is also acknowledged in published health books, as an expert in the field of amino acids and nutrition, and his products were recommended in over 9 books.

In the period after selling Tyson & Associates & Aatron Labs & before founding Montiff Inc., Don worked as a consultant to doctors, including physicians from Harvard and Stanford, Medical Schools researching the use of nutraceuticals (amino acids and antioxidants) for cardio-vascular health. This research has led to the formulation of the Montiff product line.  During this time Don was involved in the research with Dr. John Cooke M.D. of Stanford Medical School on the mechanism of action of Nitric Oxide in circulatory occlusion.
